Paris-based artist Christiane Pooley (b. 1983, Temuco, Chile) explores place as both a physical environment and an emotional state, transcending time and geographical boundaries. Her paintings are composed of multiple layers, weaving together personal memories and photographs with a broad range of references from art history, cartography and current affairs.
